02 / 06 · Legacy Modernization & Technology Migration

Rebuild & modernize outdated software.

Old language, old framework, old database? We move your software to a modern stack — for example PHP to Python — and keep everything that already works.

Best forLegacy systems, end-of-life frameworks, hard-to-change codebases, products that outgrew their first design.
Short answer

Legacy modernization moves old software to a current technology stack, for example PHP to Python, jQuery to React or MySQL to PostgreSQL, without losing the business logic that already works. It is usually done in small tested steps while the old system keeps running, so the business is not interrupted.

Sound familiar?

  • Your framework or language version is end-of-life and no longer gets security fixes.
  • Every small change takes weeks because the code is tangled.
  • It is hard to hire developers for the technology you are on.
  • New features keep breaking old ones.
  • The product has outgrown the architecture it started with.

What we do.

Language & framework migration

PHP to Python or Node, .NET Framework to modern .NET, Java 8 to current Java, AngularJS to modern frameworks, and more.

Frontend modernization

Old page-by-page sites and jQuery code become fast, maintainable React or similar apps.

Database migration

MySQL to PostgreSQL and other moves, with data checks before and after so nothing is lost.

Gradual or full rebuild

We choose the safest path: replace piece by piece while it keeps running, or rebuild cleanly when that is faster.

Redevelopment of incomplete products

Unfinished products are re-planned and rebuilt on a solid base.

Old systems to web

Desktop and legacy internal tools become secure web applications.

How it works

Four steps, no mystery.

You know what is happening and what comes next at every stage.

01

Understand

We study what the system does today, including the behaviour nobody wrote down.

02

Plan the path

Rewrite or gradual migration, in what order, with what risk. You approve the plan.

03

Migrate

Built in small steps, compared against the old system, tested as we go.

04

Switch & verify

Planned cutover, data verified, old system kept as a fallback until you are confident.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is moving from PHP to Python worth it?

It depends on your goals. It is worth it when you need easier hiring, better tooling, data or AI features, or when the old code has become too costly to change. If your PHP app is healthy, we will tell you to keep it and upgrade it instead.

Should we rewrite everything or migrate gradually?

Gradual migration is usually safer because the product keeps running while we replace parts. A full rewrite can be right for small or badly broken systems. We show you both with risks and rough effort.

Will our data be safe?

Data is moved with automated checks and a rehearsal before the real switch. Backups are taken first, and the old system stays available as a fallback.

Will users notice downtime?

We plan cutovers to keep downtime very small or zero where the system allows it.
