Work / Link Organiser
Never lose an important link again.
A calm, paper-first personal link organizer built on Next.js, Supabase, and PostgreSQL 16. It automatically extracts URL metadata and keeps saved knowledge private with database Row-Level Security.
Saved links disappear into digital black holes.
Every professional discovers valuable articles, documentation pages, repositories, and business resources each week across chat channels, emails, and browser tabs. But without an effortless capture tool, those links get buried.
Standard browser bookmarks lack search and context, while commercial "read-it-later" apps have become bloated, filled with invasive tracking pixels, ad networks, and closed ecosystems that lock your data behind monthly paywalls.
Five core capabilities delivered in plain product language.
- Automatic metadata extraction: Paste any web link and the platform immediately parses the page title, open-graph image, description, and source domain.
- Calm paper-first aesthetic: A distraction-free editorial interface designed with warm neutrals and readable typography that feels like a physical desk notebook.
- Complete cross-device access: Fully functional as a desktop web app, an installable iOS Progressive Web App (PWA), and a downloadable Android APK with native share-sheet integration.
- Unrestricted data portability: One-click export to standard JSON and CSV files anytime, ensuring zero lock-in and complete user data sovereignty.
- Zero ads and zero tracking: No analytics trackers, no advertising cookies, and no behavioral profiling — your reading list remains strictly yours.
From URL paste to instant searchable knowledge card.
The capture process is frictionless across mobile and desktop:
Quick Capture
Paste URL or trigger via native mobile share sheet.
Metadata Scraping
Server-side worker extracts title, image, and description with SSRF guards.
Tags & Notes
Assign custom tags and personal Markdown notes for instant classification.
Instant Search
Client-side keyboard filter retrieves saved resources in milliseconds.
PostgreSQL Row-Level Security and hardened SSRF protection.
Data privacy is guaranteed at the database engine level. Link Organiser runs on PostgreSQL 16 hosted via Supabase, with granular Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring that users can only ever query and update rows linked to their authenticated identity.
Because the app fetches metadata from arbitrary user-submitted URLs, we implemented rigorous Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) defense. The scraper blocks loopback addresses, internal cloud metadata IP ranges, private subnets, and non-HTTP protocols before sending any outbound requests.
Key architectural trade-offs made during development.
Database-Level RLS vs Application-Level Filters
We enforce user scoping directly in PostgreSQL row policies. Even if an API endpoint were misconfigured, the database itself refuses to return another user's rows. Security is verified at the persistence layer.
SSRF DNS Pinning
When fetching metadata from user-provided URLs, DNS rebinding attacks can bypass simple hostname checks. Our scraper resolves IP addresses first, validates that the IP is publicly routable, and connects directly to the pinned IP.
What it does today
The platform runs live in production. It supports link saving, auto-metadata extraction, tag taxonomies, full-text search, and multi-format data exports.
We operate and maintain this product continuously as part of FusionTechMark's live product portfolio.
